Saadiyat Island restaurants are in three main places: the Mamsha Al Saadiyat seafront next to the Louvre, the Cultural District around the museums, and the beach resorts. Add Hawksbill at the golf club and the cafés at the beach clubs. Below, places are grouped by area, with the cuisine and what each one suits. We don't quote menu prices: no dated source publishes them. Lists are as of October 2026.

Restaurants at Mamsha Al Saadiyat

Mamsha Al Saadiyat is a 1.5 km promenade with cafés and restaurants on the ground floor of low-rise residential buildings, next to Mamsha Beach. The Louvre Abu Dhabi is about 22 min away on foot. These are the places on the promenade listed by the island's directories:

Antonia is a retro-style Italian pizzeria facing the sand. If you are staying in an apartment at Mamsha Al Saadiyat, all of these are downstairs. The last four rows come from the island operator's own guide to Mamsha, published in October 2023, so check that a place is still open before you plan a meal around it.

Eating near the Louvre and the Cultural District

  • Fouquet's Abu Dhabi is a French brasserie at the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
  • Inside the Louvre, the Museum Café and Aptitude Café, which looks out at the dome, serve museum visitors.
  • Art Lounge (cocktails and light bites) and Blacksmith Coffee Roastery are listed in the Cultural District by the island's guide.
  • Manarat Al Saadiyat, the arts center, has a café and Taparelle, a French-Italian restaurant.

The nearest group of restaurants to the museums is Mamsha, a short walk from the Louvre.

Coming soon: Saadiyat Grove. The new district next to the Louvre plans a large dining line-up. As announced in September 2026, it includes Momofuku, Alain Ducasse Café, Monsieur Paul, Kokoro Handroll Bar and Le Palais, a Cantonese restaurant with three Michelin stars in Taipei, opening its first branch abroad. Barrafina, Gymkhana, Zēphyr and Magma are planned at the Louvre Residences. The retail center is due to open in Q4 2026; opening dates of individual restaurants have not been announced. See Saadiyat Grove.

Hotel restaurants

The five beach resorts have the largest choice of restaurants on the island. Whether you can book a table without staying depends on the hotel and the restaurant, so call ahead. The lists below follow each resort's own dining page, as rechecked in October 2026.

  • The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort: Oléa (Mediterranean), Sontaya (Asian), Buddha-Bar Beach (Asian fusion, on the sand), Café Ginori Saadiyat Island (Italian), Sophia Abu Dhabi (Mediterranean) and The Manhattan Lounge (the lobby bar).
  • Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi: The Beach House (by the beach), Maté (steaks and grills, in the Michelin Guide 2026 selection) and The Café (the main restaurant).
  • Jumeirah Saadiyat Island: Sal, Mare Mare (Italian, by the pool), Tean (Arabic), White (buffet dinners) and Majlis Saadiyat.
  • Saadiyat Rotana: Si Ristorante Italiano & Bar (Italian), Turtle Bay Bar & Grill (steaks and seafood), Hamilton's Gastropub (British and American pub food, with sports on screen), Nasma Beachfront Bar (cocktails and sushi) and Sim Sim (international buffet).
  • Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island: an all-inclusive resort with six restaurants; even package guests pay a cover charge at the à la carte ones. If you are not staying there, ask first whether the resort takes outside bookings.

Cafés and breakfast

Breakfast on Saadiyat comes from three kinds of places. The resorts serve it to their guests, and some of their restaurants take outside bookings; call ahead. On Mamsha, Alkalime is one of the places the island operator names for breakfast, and Feels and Local serve light food and coffee. Hawksbill at the golf club opens for breakfast too. Near the Louvre, the museum cafés and Blacksmith Coffee Roastery work for a coffee between galleries.

Supermarkets and groceries on Saadiyat

If you rent an apartment, you'll want a supermarket. Waitrose and Spinneys both run stores on Saadiyat Island; their store locators (waitrose.ae and spinneys.com) give the address and opening hours. A Lulu Express is among the grocery stores that deliver to the island. Apartments with kitchens are on our Saadiyat apartments page.

Food delivery to apartments and villas

Talabat delivers to Saadiyat Island (South) from restaurants and groceries, including Italian, bakery and healthy options. Coverage depends on your exact address, so enter it in the app before you order.

Beach clubs and the golf club

  • Hawksbill, the restaurant at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, serves Mediterranean and international food: breakfasts, sharing plates, seafood, salads, pizza, pasta and sandwiches. It has an indoor dining room and a terrace overlooking the water. For opening hours, iftar and group bookings, and to check whether non-golfers can book a table, contact the club.
  • Saadiyat Beach Club: Safina (Mediterranean), Cabana 9 by the pool and the Beach Bar, for members and day-pass guests.
  • Kai Beach: a café, drinks on the beach and a food truck; part of the entry ticket comes back as food and drink credit.
  • Mamsha Beach: a café that delivers to your lounger when you order by QR code.

Michelin on Saadiyat

The Michelin Guide Abu Dhabi 2026 includes several places on the island:

  • Beirut Sur Mer on Mamsha holds a Bib Gourmand, the guide's award for good food at moderate prices.
  • Antonia and NIRI on Mamsha are in the guide's selection.
  • Fouquet's Abu Dhabi at the Louvre and Maté at Park Hyatt are in the selection too.
  • Taparelle, a French-Italian restaurant at Manarat Al Saadiyat, joined the selection in the 2026 edition.

None of them has a Michelin star. The guide changes with each annual edition, so check the current list before you book.

Alcohol, Ramadan and booking

  • Alcohol is served only in licensed venues: hotel restaurants and bars, and some places on Mamsha, such as NIRI and Raclette Brasserie. The legal drinking age is 21; local rules are in our Abu Dhabi travel tips.
  • Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027. Hotels and restaurants serve iftar after sunset; menus and prices for 2027 are not published yet.
  • Booking. Book hotel restaurants ahead, especially if you are not staying there. We have no confirmed details of weekend brunches on the island, so ask the hotels.
