In short

Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is the island's ultra all-inclusive resort. Your rate covers meals at six restaurants, more than 100 brands of drinks including alcohol, snacks and ice cream through the day. For children there is an Aqua Park with slides and a wave pool, the Rixy Kids Club for ages 4–12 and a Teens Club.

With an Aqua Park and clubs for both children and teenagers, it is the most family-oriented of the five Saadiyat resorts. Choose it over Saadiyat Rotana if you want drinks and dining fully included rather than a set-menu package, and over the St. Regis or Park Hyatt if you want everything paid upfront. Next door, Club Privé by Rixos Saadiyat Island has 12 villas with three or four bedrooms and a 24-hour butler.

Pros

  • Ultra all-inclusive, with more than 100 drinks brands across the restaurants and bars
  • Six restaurants, from a buffet to Italian, Mediterranean and teppanyaki
  • An Aqua Park with water slides, a wave pool and a shallow kids' pool
  • Rixy Kids Club for ages 4–12 and a Teens Club
  • Anjana Spa, with a Turkish hammam and a snow room
  • Rooms with direct access to the pool
  • Club Privé villas for groups who want space and a butler

Cons

  • "All-inclusive" has extras: à la carte restaurants charge a cover fee per person, and the Aja teppanyaki show, spa treatments and golf cost extra
  • À la carte restaurants need a reservation
  • On a one-night stay, the à la carte cover charge is several times higher than on longer stays
  • No kids' club for children under 4

Rooms

  • 45 m²Deluxe room, garden viewview: garden
  • 45 m²Deluxe room, sea viewview: sea
  • 50 m²Premium room with pool accessview: pool; steps straight into the water

Rooms come with a garden or sea view, and Premium rooms open straight onto the pool. There are also family rooms of about 90 m², suites, a Presidential Suite and villas.

  • Deluxe room: the entry category, with a garden or sea view.
  • Premium room with pool access: on the edge of the pool, with steps from the terrace into the water.
  • Club Villa and Villa Privé: the Club Privé villas, with three or four bedrooms and a 24-hour butler. Three-bedroom villas share a pool; four-bedroom villas have a private pool with a sea view.

Beach & pools

The resort has its own private beach of white sand. There are three outdoor pools, and some rooms open straight onto the water.

The "water park" people search for is the resort's Aqua Park: water slides, a wave pool and sprinklers, next to a shallow kids' pool. It is free for guests but much smaller than a real water park. For that, go to Yas Waterworld on Yas Island, about 18 km away.

Day passes: the resort has sold all-inclusive day passes to visitors who are not staying, with meals, drinks, the beach and the pools. Check with the resort whether one is on sale for your date.
