In short

Jumeirah Saadiyat Island stands at the northeastern end of Saadiyat Island's beach, next to Saadiyat Beach Club and about 2 km beyond the other four resorts. It has a 400 m private beach, three outdoor infinity pools and SAL, an adults-only beach club with its own pool. Accommodation runs from rooms and two-room family rooms to duplex villas with two to five bedrooms and a private pool.

Pick it if your group needs a villa with several bedrooms, or if you want a quieter end of the island. The trade-off is distance: it is the furthest of the five from the Louvre and Mamsha. Older listings call it "Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort". Jumeirah is the hotel brand; the resort has nothing to do with the Jumeirah district of Dubai.

Pros

  • A 400 m private beach of white sand, open only to hotel guests and SAL visitors
  • Three outdoor infinity pools and a swim-up bar
  • Duplex villas with two to five bedrooms and a private pool
  • Two-room Ocean Family Rooms for families who don't need a villa
  • A kids' and teens' club, with babysitting on 12 hours' notice
  • Talise Spa, with hammam treatments

Cons

  • High restaurant and bar prices, and no all-inclusive plan
  • The furthest of the five resorts from the Louvre, the museums and Mamsha
  • Two of the nine restaurants and bars, Atelier 180 and Offside Gastropub, are temporarily closed
  • SAL also sells entry tickets to visitors, so part of the beach is shared with day guests

The resort's room types are Resort Deluxe, Ocean Deluxe, Garden Terrace, the two-room Ocean Family Room, suites with one to three bedrooms, and duplex villas with two to five bedrooms. Rooms start at about 46 m², and suites are almost twice that size. Every villa has its own pool and access to the beach.

Beach & pools

The resort has a 400 m private beach of white sand. Hawksbill turtles nest on Saadiyat's beaches from March to July, and conservation patrols watch the nests from April to June.

There are three outdoor infinity pools and a swim-up bar. One section of the beach belongs to SAL, an adults-only beach club with its own infinity pool, sunbeds and cabanas. SAL also sells entry tickets to visitors who are not staying at the resort; the price is not published.

Dining

Nine restaurants and bars are listed, and seven of them are open:

  • SAL: Mediterranean food with a seafood focus, at the adults-only beach club
  • White
  • Mare Mare: Italian, by the pool
  • Tean: Levantine
  • Majlis Saadiyat: Arabic
  • Pool Bar
  • The Lounge

Atelier 180 and Offside Gastropub are temporarily closed.

Most rates include a breakfast buffet, and you can add half board when you book. Lunch and drinks are paid separately.

Talise Spa offers hammam treatments and massages.

For kids

The kids' and teens' club is open daily 09:00–20:00. Activities range from beach games and kite flying to film screenings. The resort doesn't publish the age limits, so ask before you book if your child is very young or a teenager.

Babysitting is available if you book at least 12 hours ahead. SAL and its pool are for adults only.
