Abu Dhabi and Saadiyat in February
Things to do in Abu Dhabi in February depend on the calendar as much as the weather. The weather stays mild all month, but in 2027 Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, which changes the city's daily rhythm for most of the month.
Daytime air 25°C (77°F)

Is February a good time to go?
Yes. February has warm days, cool evenings and little rain, and it is still peak season. The sea is at its coolest of the year. Ramadan mainly changes daytime café hours and the evening atmosphere; beaches and museums stay open.
What to do
- Walk and sightsee in daylight. Days around 25°C (77°F) suit long walks along the Mamsha promenade, around the Cultural District and in the city.
- Visit the museums. The Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Zayed National Museum, the Natural History Museum and teamLab Phenomena stay open during Ramadan, though hours may change, so check before you go. The Guggenheim Abu Dhabi joins them if its opening, planned for 11 December 2026, goes ahead as announced.
- Swim on warm afternoons. The sea is about 21°C (70°F), its lowest of the year: refreshing rather than warm.
- See Ramadan evenings. After sunset, restaurants fill up for iftar and the city gets busier. In 2026, Saadiyat Nights ran a Layali Ramadan program with suhoor under the stars; the 2027 edition had not been announced as of October 2026.
- Go to the Sheikh Zayed Festival. The winter-long festival at Al Wathba, a drive inland from the city, runs until 14 March 2027.
Prices and crowds
February is still high season, with busy hotels and prices close to January's. Book a few weeks ahead, especially if your dates match school half-term in your home country.
Ramadan note
Ramadan is expected to start around 8 February 2027 and last 29 or 30 days; the exact dates depend on the sighting of the moon. Some cafés and shops change their daytime hours, and eating or drinking in public during daylight is frowned upon. Hotels and beaches run as usual.
