In short

Guggenheim Abu Dhabi is a museum of modern and contemporary art on Saadiyat Island, designed by Frank Gehry. It stands on the waterfront of the Cultural District, a short drive from the Louvre Abu Dhabi. The museum opens to the public on 11 December 2026, and tickets are already on sale.

The two museums cover different ground. The Louvre Abu Dhabi tells the history of art from the ancient world onward; the Guggenheim's collection starts in the 1960s and runs to the present. teamLab Phenomena, a digital art venue in the same district, is a separate attraction run by a different operator.
