Is October a good time to go?
Yes. October gives you the warmest sea of the beach season, days that are hot but no longer punishing, and prices still below the winter peak. Early October can still feel like summer at midday; the second half is better for long days outside.
What to do
- Long beach days. The sea is about 30°C (86°F), warm enough for hours in the water, and from mid-month you can stay on the beach well into the afternoon.
- Walk again. Mornings and evenings are good for the Mamsha promenade and for getting around the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the other Cultural District museums.
- Sheikh Zayed Festival opens. The season-long festival at Al Wathba starts on 30 October 2026 and runs until 14 March 2027.
- Book Guggenheim tickets early. Tickets for the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, which opens on 11 December 2026, went on sale on 18 September 2026. If your trip falls in the opening weeks, book ahead.
Prices and crowds
October is shoulder season. Visitors return after the summer and prices start to climb, but they stay below the November to March peak.
